Headwaters Health Care Foundation
We were approached by Headwaters Health Care Foundation, a registered Canadian Charity that exists for the sole purpose of promoting Headwaters Health Care Centre, a regional hospital in Ontario. They wanted a short video that expresses the heart and soul of who they are; their core values of personal, nurturing care.
The foundation staff had showed us some broadcast quality hospital promotionals, hoping we could provide them with something similar, while assuming that their budget would not allow us to deliver that level of production. To their great surprise and pleasure, we exceeded their expectations and delivered a video that they love better than the samples.
The backdrop of daily operation of the hospital is a key component in the timeline, especially because the special purpose of the Foundation is to raise funds for equipment like the CT scan, X-ray, ultrasound and dialysis technology that is featured in the story. Many of the scenes were mocked up, but some were spontaneous and captured in the moment, like the girl being told by the physician that she is completely healed.
